Six of the twelve compulsory credits come from the common compulsory courses (one accepted engineering mathematics course plus RSM 503). The remaining six are chosen from the optional compulsory group, together with the thesis supervisor. Up to 50% of the elective credits may be taken from other ITU programmes with the supervisor's approval. On iki zorunlu kredinin altısı ortak zorunlu derslerden gelir (kabul edilen bir mühendislik matematiği dersi ve RSM 503). Kalan altı kredi, tez danışmanıyla birlikte seçmeli-zorunlu gruptan seçilir. Seçmeli kredilerin %50'sine kadarı, danışman onayıyla İTÜ'deki diğer programlardan alınabilir.
